Many college students suffer from unhealthy financial behaviors. At the same time, financial literacy tools are not engaging them effectively, as seen in low adoption rates and limited impact. The main goal of this project is to increase financial literacy and promote healthy financial behaviors for college students by conducting research and creating solutions to promote beneficial financial habits.

My Contributions
Current Experience
How the information is presented in banking apps is not targeted towards college students. There is also not many AI tools within the banking apps most college students use so, they have to download additional apps to reach their goals.

What do college students know about financial literacy?
To answer this question we conducted a literature review, user interviews, and created a user persona to walk us through the experience of college students when using a banking app.

Final Design
Our solution would be a tool integrated into existing banking apps so that users do not have to download another app on their phone they are unlikely to open. Our tool makes it clear that AI is being used to build trust with the user and make their banking experience easier.
